Hi Bikefester,
Only a week and a bit to go before the 2019 FENWICK’s Bristol Bikefest powered by the Bristol Beer Factory will get going on the 29th of June.
Location / course:
As you probably all know, we have moved the event to a new location last year. We are still in Ashton Court, but we are now based at the bottom of the estate on the showground where the balloon fiesta takes place (see map below). With the move, the course has also a new start and finish section with a lovely downhill bringing you back into the start and finish area.
Schedule:
- Registration opens at 8:00 am on Saturday (29th June)
- Kids racing will start at 9:00 am and will finish at approx. 10:00 am
- The new E-bike race (solo only) will start at 10:00 and will finish at approx. 11:30 am
- Adult racing will start at 12:00 noon for the ‘main’ categories and 12:07 pm for the Steve Worland Cup. Racing will finish now by 8:00 pm – so as you know, we have turned last year’s 6 hour into an 8 hour event!!
Parking:
To reach us you will need to park in one of the estate car-parks and ride or walk over, we would suggest the Church Lodge car-park next to the Ashton Pub (Ashton Rd, Bristol, BS41 9LX) off of the B3128 Long Ashton end of the estate. See suggestions above.
Camping:
Camper you will receive a camping pass before the event and need to arrive from 9 am at Clarkencoombe Lodge gatehouse on the Clevedon Road (please see map). Also, we have a few more camping spots left, so if you want to grab one of those, please email paul@bike-fest.com for details. Please keep in mind, that we only have camping for the Saturday night and that there are no showers at the Bikefest.
Still want to race?
If any of your friends or family members still want to get involved in the FENWICK’s Bristol Bikefest, we still have places in the ‘Steve Worland Ride Singletrack Hard & Drink A Swig of Cider Per Lap Memorial Cup’ and in the kids’ races available. For further details on the Memorial Cup, please check the event details on the site and to enter, please go to our entry page.
Just come and hang out:
Bring your friends and family along to watch the race action, have a bite to eat, check out the trade village or sample our Bristol Beer Factory bar. There is no charge to spectate and to get into the event village.
Briefing:
Here the download link to the briefing for the event. Please read before you make your way to the Fest.
See you all in a few days’ time!
